Description : The terminal is located in the Emirate of Sharjah approx 7.5nm NW of Hamriyah.
General Overview : General Overview: The terminal consists of a shore tank with related onshore facilities, an offshore loading berth composed primarily of a single point mooring buoy (SPM) and a 30in submarine pipeline which runs from the shore tank to the loading berth. The shore tank is located outside the village of Hamriyah on the coastline between Umm al Qaiwain and Ajman in approx position Lat 2529.5'N, Long 05530.7'E. The loading berth is located in 21.6m of water and is situated in an open and unsheltered roadstead approx 7.6nm offshore on a bearing of 308(T) from the shore tank in approx position Lat 2534.5'N, Long 05524.1'E.

Advice of arrival : It is important that vessels establish radio contact with the company and with the operator's designated marine service when 3 days distant from the terminal and maintain such contact until just prior to arrival at the terminal. Vessels should send an ETA message to the company and to the operator's designated marine service not less than 72 hours prior to the arrival at the terminal, providing the following information:
  1. ETA
  2. Estimated draft forward and aft upon arrival
  3. Quantity of crude to be loaded and the grade
  4. Estimated sailing draft
  5. Last port of call
  6. Whether the vessel has a clean bill of health
  7. Distance from bow to centre of manifold.
NAVIGATION
Anchorages : The anchorage area for vessels awaiting the loading berth at Hamriyah Oil Terminal is a 1 mile radius with its centre due North of the loading berth in approx. position Lat: 25° 37.5' N Long: 055° 24.1' E.
Navigation aids : The SPM is fitted with a racon, coded "Zulu". There is also a white navigation light flashing "U" with a range of 5.7nm.
Tugs: The company will provide a mooring launch which is owned by the operator's designated marine service to assist in the mooring and unmooring of the vessel.

Tugs: Mooring launch: The company will provide a mooring launch which is owned by the operator's designated marine service to assist in the mooring and unmooring of the vessel. Restrictions: Pilot/Mooring Master will boards the vessel at approx. 3nm due N of the loading berth in approx position Lat 2537.5'N, Long 05524.1'E. The Mooring Master will be provided by the company and vessels will not be allowed to approach or depart from the loading berth without the company designated Mooring Master being on board. The Mooring Master will advise vessel personnel on the approaches to the loading berth; the operations of mooring and unmooring; the raising, connection, disconnecting and lowering of the floating cargo hose and in all other operations within the loading berth area. All manoeuvring of vessels within the loading berth area shall be performed by vessel personnel as directed by the vessel's officer in charge and in accordance with the procedure advised by the Mooring Master.Max. size: Max draft 16.76m, 80,000dwt. Berthing: The SPM buoy moors vessels from the bow and consists primarily of a cylindrical buoy which is secured to the seabed by 6 catenary anchor legs each of which are tethered to the seabed by a heavy duty anchor system. The cylindrical buoy is 5.3m in height, fitted with a skirt 16m in diameter and can accept vessels up to 80,000dwt Facilities: Vessel's gear: Prior to the arrival of any vessel at the Mooring Master boarding area, the port derrick of the vessel should be up and ready to lift the mooring and hose connection gear on board the vessel from the mooring launch. On the port side, opposite the vessel's manifold, there must be equipment capable of lifting the floating hose safely and efficiently, a 7.5T lift, from the sea surface over the port rail to the vessel's manifold. Vessels must also have an adequate supply of nuts, gaskets and wrenches to connect the floating cargo hose. If, in the opinion of the Mooring Master, the vessel is not equipped with adequate mooring or loading facilities or lines or gear, the Mooring Master must so inform the vessel's Master and in such event the vessel will not be brought into the loading berth until the facilities or lines or gear are deemed satisfactory by the Mooring Master.
