The Holiday Inn Hotel, stands on the foreshore 3.5 cables NNE of Jabal Sidr; at night it is illuminated by lights. |
| Anchorage may be obtained in the bay clear of the approach fairway with prior approval by the port authority. The anchorage is open to the NE but the holding ground is good. |
| Anchoring is prohibited in Sharjah territorial waters, unless the vessel is waiting to enter Khawr Fakkan port, or to cargo vessels requiring certain facilities available from this port, large tankers are not permitted to anchor within 10nm of the coast. |
